Welcome to MPWR BLACK

I am J.W. Hall

This platform is not for entertainment—it is a tool to sharpen the mind and spirit. A space for Black people to confront the reality of what we face in America and beyond—systemically, economically, psychologically & politically.

Here, you’ll find articles on education, self-sustainability, history, politics, health, entrepreneurship, community economics, diasporic relations, and more.

The writings are informational, as well as preparation for action—to wake us up, to challenge our thinking, and to prepare us for collective liberation.

My style is scholarly-militant. I do not sugarcoat and I do not coddle. I am direct, but I explain my directness—radical, but rooted in fact. Clear and casual, yet professional and detailed.

If you want quick soundbites or swipe-culture takes, this is not the place. Liberation demands focus and discipline—no shortcuts.

I do not claim to be an expert in all things, but I have lived, worked, and consistently study enough to speak with clarity. I have a B.A. in Sociology from California State University, Northridge—I do not believe formal education is above self-education, however, I do believe that some level of formal education can provide the methods and structure for more efficient self-study.

Over the past decade I’ve served as a Behavioral Health Specialist on a psych ward, outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic Supervisor, Assistant Administrator for foster homes, Program Director for a residential reentry facility for parolees, Program Analyst with the California Conservation Corps, and Public Assistance Specialist for SNAP & Medicaid. Service has always been my work, but my true purpose is to be of service to my people—Black people.

This is a safe space, but not a soft one. Safe—because you can bring your full self here without apology. Not soft—because truth lives here, and complacency won’t survive here.

To be part of this community, only four things are required:

    1. You have love for, care about, and want the best for Black people.
    2. Regardless of what you believe the root cause of the current state of Black America is, you believe Black people must take accountability for and be the creators of our own liberation.
    3. You are willing to learn, unlearn, and be open to the possibility of changes in your beliefs and ideology.
    4. You are willing to engage in respectfully passionate discussion.

Disagreement is natural. Running from it is weakness. Too often, we let small differences stop us from working together. That cannot continue. Accountability, respect, and the willingness to grow are the foundation of unity.

Systemic racism is a constant enemy—but one of our greatest obstacles is us. Division. Distraction. Passivity.

MPWR BLACK exists to break that cycle and to feed the mind with truth, fact, and analysis. Every article, every post, every word here has with one mission:

Educate > Communicate > Unify > Liberate

Next, read MPWR BILU to understand the mission of MPWR BLACK in detail.
